Entries Closing for the Roche's Rumble
The Roche’s Rumble Foot and Bike Metrogaine (Sunday 24th August) is almost ready to rumble! Lace up your walking (or running) shoes or pump up your bike tyres, and get ready to explore the glorious range of coastal and bushland trails in Lauderdale and surrounds.
The Roche’s Rumble offers something for everyone: from a cruisy, family-friendly outing with opportunities to browse street libraries and spot bandicoots darting through the scrub, to a challenging run or ride to far-flung checkpoints dotted throughout the Tangara Trail network.
This event is less than 30 minutes from Hobart, and is the only metrogaine in the south for 2025, so don’t miss out! Entries close on Friday, 15th August.

2025 NAMSF RecipientsCongratulations to UTAS students Xavier Scott and Sam Woolford, who are this year’s Tasmanian recipients of the Nigel Aylott Memorial Sports Foundation funding. They will attend the Intervarsity Championships, which is being held in conjunction with the NSW Champs in mid-September. They will be a strong team. Xavier was in the winning team for the Australian Champs in Men’s Under 23 in 2023 and again in 2024 with Sam. Sam was on the winning team for the Deddington Dilemma held late last year.Â
All the best for a fun and successful event!
